The production record holds this specific commitment. The part workspace holds the technical definition and revision context. Keeping those connected avoids confusing a general part number with one particular production lot.

Supplier → shared production picture

Report what changed.

The supplier reports progress as the work moves through the supported stages. Dates and concerns can change; the record gives the team a current view and a history of updates.

A production stage and a risk are different facts. A part can be in inspection and still require a response. The attention view helps explain what is needed, rather than treating a progress percentage as the whole story.

Progress is reported through the workflow. Velakron does not provide live machine telemetry or direct ERP synchronization in the current Early Access scope.

A drawing requirement, model feature, or revision can be central to a manufacturing question. Bring that context into the discussion and make it clear when the other company needs to respond.

An explicit next action

Resolve the exception with its history intact.

An issue records a problem and its resolution. A production block adds the controls needed when work must stop. A nonconformance follows the quality disposition and verification appropriate to the affected work.

The product keeps the responsible company and workflow state visible. Approval of a solution and release of stopped production are separate actions when the workflow requires them.
